Ny Wetmore is a highly experienced art instructor and artist. Having attended the Kansas City Art Institute, earning a BFA in Fiber, her art education is strongly grounded in studio experience. She has won nationalaccolades for her artistic accomplishments and works. She also has a BS degree in Business Management from Southern Nazarene University and recently completed her Masters in Art Education from the University of Central Missouri.

She is a current member of the National Association of Art Educators. She recently wrote a color theory workbook for quilters, and provides workshops and presentations for guild groups. She has experience in all forms of art from 2D drawing to 3D construction. Sculpture, fiber and ceramics are her media of choice but she is also very accomplished in Photoshop, Illustrator and graphic design concepts, having designed many logos and web pages. Additionally, she is designing quilting patterns and quilting motifs for quilters that are garnering national attention.

Art and teaching are her two greatest loves. Art education helps a student learn to think expressively and creatively, to problem solve more effectively and to find a way to express and enliven their soul.
